  • What is the difference between Turmeric and Curcumin? Aren't they the same?
Turmeric root, or Curcuma Longa rhizome, is a traditional remedy that has been used in Eastern cultures for thousands of years. The rhizome is harvested, dried, and powdered. Curcumin belongs to the group of Curcuminoids, the primary constituents that give Turmeric its health benefits. Curcumin's content in Turmeric is miniscule: about 0.3-1%. Both Turmeric powder and Curcumin are well known to be poorly absorbed by the body.
  • Shouldn't Curcuminoids be standardized to 95%?
Curcuminoids contains (1) Curcumin, (2) Demethoxy Curcumin, and (3) Bisdemethoxy Curcumin. We standardize our product to ensure consistent amount of therapeutic levels of the active constituents. The Curcumin in SCurma Fizzy is standardized to be purest possible - at 99.9%.
  • What is the difference between SCurma Fizzy and other Turmeric Curcumin products?
What sets Scurma Fizzy apart is (1) Superior absorption - 7500X - by transforming Curcumin into nano size - Nano Micelles (ultra small 30-50 nano meter) (2) 40X Bioavailability than normal Curcumin by employing Site-Specific Delivery Technology, which has been shown in a clinical study to be 70X concentration of Curcumin at any site (3) Fizzy, Easy-to-drink tablet!
  • Does SCurma Fizzy also include Piperine, an ingredient which enhances absorption rate into the body?"
Piperine is a compound extracted from black pepper. It is used in some dietary supplements to enhance the absorption of ingredients that are otherwise not well absorbed, such as curcumin. It is important to note that only 2 to 10% of black pepper is piperine, and absorption claims for piperine are not true for black pepper. We chose not to use piperine in our products as we feel there are significant disadvantages to piperine. For example, piperine may be contraindicated for use with many prescription medications, as it changes how many drugs are metabolized in the liver and intestines. This can affect a wide spectrum of prescription medications, including digoxin (heart rhythm drug), verapamil (high blood pressure and angina), cyclosporine (anti-rejection drug for transplant patients), phenytoin (anti-seizure), rifampin (anti-tuberculosis) and more. Additionally, in animal studies piperine has demonstrated toxicity at high dosages, and has been shown to increase the absorption of dietary toxins such as aflatoxin. Most recently, an animal study found that high doses of piperine negated the beneficial effects of curcumin for support of blood sugar metabolism. Instead of piperine, SCurma Fizzy employs Nano Micelles Technology, transforming Curcumin into nano-sized particles to drastically enhance the absorption uptake into the body by 7500X. Pipeperine may also irritate your stomach as well. SCurma Fizzy is very well digested and lenient on the digestive system.

We scoure the fields of Vietnamese highlands for great Turmeric. Only three Vietnamese mountainous provinces, Kon Tum - Nghe An - Bac Kan, have the soil profiles (fertility, suitability and quality) that contribute to the purest and highest Curcumin content. At high elevation, the lands are free from soil and water erosion, free from pollution, and free from municipal or industrial waste. We continue to rely on a tight network of small growers in the regions, from whose Turmeric we hand-pick the best mature roots, one bag at a time, for a premium price. At our FDA-registered laboratory, raw and fresh Turmeric is rinsed and peeled. It then goes through a Fluid Bed Granulation drying process to ensure the resulting Turmeric powder is free of any contaminants such as cadmium, lead, sulfur, or other unwanted bacteria. Our clinicians dutifully extract the powder through a strict 5-step standardization procedure to acquire Curcumin that is 99.9% pure - with no essential oil impurities. All Curcumin 99.9% is then tested at laboratory for contaminants. The final product of EVERY batch is tested again at our FDA-Registered manufacturer and at verified 3rd-party laboratory for contaminants, heavy metals and pathogens. Only when all tests come back clear, the products are shipped. What does that mean for you? •What’s on the label is in the product.
